Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are currently shooting for their film Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Tehri, Uttarkhand. The duo is leaving no stone unturned to make their performances look believable. However, the shooting of the film was stalled after a major power cut was experienced in Tehri. Batti Gul Meter Chalu is being directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar Dua and Vipul K Rawal.
Talking about the power cut due to which the shooting had to be halted, a source told a leading daily, “The shooting had to be stopped mid-scene when a power cut happened. The power outage lasted for more than 12 hours. Even though the makers arranged for generators, we could resume the shoot only by early evening.’’ The source further revealed, “Both Shahid and Shraddha found out about the hydel projects that are pending approvals from the ministry of Water Resources. The locals told them that they face power cuts regularly, some as long as 10-12 hours. These inputs helped them make a few improvisations to the story.” Incidentally, the film deals with the menace of escalating electric bills. The film is all set to hit the theatre screens on August 31, 2018. We are super excited about this one. What about you?
